Today is the Day! The vehicle is being packed and the fuel(vege oil) is full + 3x20litre drums on the roof. Excitement is building as the time to leave Biripi Country gets closer...should be around 7pm tonight that the Jackaroo points its nose north and begins the steady journey to darwin.

I pay my respects to the Biripi Ancestors/Elders past and Elders present and to the Biripi People as a nation. Thankyou for caring for me while i have walked bare foot in your Country.

As i cross this amazing Country i will be acknowledging the nations and People of many mobs. This is still their land, they are still the custodians and when we can learn to care for this land in a manner that is in harmony with it, only then can we share the right to custodianship.

Walkabout is On!

Back in Biripi Country, mid north coast Taree area I have been home now for nearly 12months and love it! A mate from Laguna Beach California, Steve Bramucci has just arrived and we are surfing madly everyday. Been some really nice waves3 to 4 ft and some barrells to be had. So i am about to enbark on another trip into the Northern Territory collecting didjeridoos and Yidakis and experiencing one of my favorite things Aboriginal Culture. My vehicle has been transformed into a vege car, ie it runs on straight vegetable oil, so fuel costs will be down, racks for the roof are being made by my dad and the car is getting a mechanical overhaul. As the time to leave draws closer i have an emotional roller coaster to deal with, breaking myself away from my comfort zone, great surfing spot and beach fishing to venture into the Desert, no waves, hot but plenty of Barra fishing. I am sure as i point the jackaroo four wheel drive north the excitement of a road trip will over take any anxiety i may feel. So as i travel i will be blogging my adventures, kind takeaway shops who donate their vege oil and facinating people i meet on the way, so stay tuned...

Hello, well it’s the countdown to the election and I have been here in St Louis City, Missouri for the past 2 weeks. It’s the Battle state where usually what happens here is a representative of what happens in the country. So Lotara and me have come here to volunteer and try and swing the voters to Obama, get the voters out and VOTE!!! So its been long days and nights entering data, canvassing neighborhoods, phone banking and a little bit of sleep in between. Ask your god, the Great Spirit or just send positive vibrations and prayers to get Obama in as President. The world needs a leader like this man, he is compassionate, environmentally minded and willing to bring about change...and lets face it America has been a leader in World Economics or trends. It has also led a country and its alliances to war and we can solve conflict other ways and we can source oil, power and resources in a fairer way...a time for change is now! I will be here in St Louis until after the election and then back to California. In Love...
